Babes in Disneyland: Tomorrowland
Babes in Disneyland: Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is one of the original lands and has been a guest favorite since park opening in 1955. In spite of its reputation for great thrill attractions for adults, it has a lot to offer for the entire family.
Attractions Suitable for Toddlers and Preschoolers
*Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters
This attraction may be a bit loud or frightening for baby, but your toddler will ADORE seeing Buzz Lightyear and the ride overall.

*Astro Orbitor
This attraction is a high soaring rocket adventure which may be difficult to ride while holding baby.
*Autopia
Preschoolers and kids of all ages love driving the Autopia cars. It is important to note that children must be 32 inches or taller to ride the attraction and one guest in the are must be 54 inches.
*Monorail
Try to get a spot upfront in the cock pit! Your kids will love it!
*Innoventions
This attraction showcases inventions and the future of technology and science. I can be a great place for your little one to stretch out and even run around a bit.
*Star Tours
While you can’t go on it with your baby or toddler, you can certainly use a rider switch pass when at the park with another adult and ride it with your preschooler who meets the height requirement. Star Tours will be closing for an extended amount of time starting 2010 and will reopen in 2011. It will return as an amazingly updated Star Wars-themed attraction. Check out the details in this video from the D23 Expo held in September 2009.
Food
*Tomorrowland Terrace
With lots of windows with smiling Cast Members ready to take your order, Tomorrowland Terrace is a great place to stop for lunch. Seating is not always ample, however, so check the availability in the area so you don't end up with your food in your hands while searching for a place to eat.
*Redd Rocket's Pizza Port
This restaurant is a great choice for families. The food is tasty and the portions are large--you can even order a full pizza. The food at this restaurant is great for sharing and one of the better values in the park.
*A fresh fruit cart is located across from the Star Trader store.
Shopping
*Little Green Men Store Command
If you have a little boy (or girl) who loves Buzz Lightyear, then this is the store for you! It has great selection of Toy Story and Pixar-related toys.
*Star Trader
If you have a Star Wars fan in your family, this store is a must. Common toys like action figures and other Hasbro toys are a bit inflated, but there are some great toys Star Wars toys unique to the Disney parks that we find to be reasonably priced when compared to similar products sold at toy stores outside the resort. We are huge fans of the action figures dressed as Star Wars characters and the Mickey Mouse Jedi light sabers. These light sabers are a great souvenir and bargain at $12.
Services
*Restrooms are available at the exit of Space Mountain and at the entrance of Tomorrowland near the Plaza Inn restaurant.
Entertainment
The Tomorrowland Terrace is not only a place to eat, but place to catch entertainment. During the day, kids of all ages love the Jedi Training Academy (best for children 4 and up but fun for the whole family to watch). At the academy, young Jedi trainees who are “strong in the force” are selected by Jedis to learn to how to battle the forces of evil and will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test and battle the “REAL” Darth Vader or Dath Maul. Your kids will be in absolute awe when Darth Vader and Darth Maul rise up amidst smoke on the Tomorrowland Terrace Stage and will love the Storm Troopers that run through the crowd to join the action. Below is a video of my son’s training experience. It took every ounce of courage for him to go up there. I couldn’t have been more proud of my normally shy child!
