Guests visiting Disneyland may want to bring their own stroller for the following reasons:

  1. Stroller rental is $12 per stroller per day!!!

  2. Need a double stroller

  3. Baby is still in the infant seat.  (Infant seats can be stored at the stroller shop for FREE while you are visiting the park.)

  4. Baby can't sit up in a jog-style stroller or will need to recline to sleep in stroller

  5. You need a lot of storage (Disneyland strollers do not have a ton of storage)

  6. Need the stroller to get to and from the park (i.e. you are walking from an area hotel, etc.)  Take note: Disneyland will store your unwanted stroller if you don’t want to push it around the park.  Let’s say you have a cheap umbrella stroller that you want to use to push your child from the hotel or car, but want the ease of a jog stroller in the park.  They will store your umbrella stroller for you if you rent a Disneyland stroller.

Is My Stroller Safe?
The truth of the matter is that for the most part, your stroller is safe at Disneyland. Although it's rare, disappearing strollers are not unheard of. Strollers are often taken for a "joy ride." Other guests sometimes take a stroller that does not belong with them and leave it somewhere in the park when they are done joy riding with it. (Although it is sometimes taken home.) There are other times when someone may take your stroller by mistake because they have the same or similar model.

Tips
There are a few things you can do to safeguard your property, or at least make it easier for Lost and Found to reunite you with your stroller if it is left in the park by a joy rider or lost.

  1. Tie a large ribbon, piece of fabric or other identifier onto your stroller so that it is easier for you to pick out of a crowd and less likely to be mistaken for someone else's.

  2. Put return address labels in several places on your stroller. (Both hidden and in plain sight.) This will help Lost and Found identify your stroller and easier for you to identify as well, plus a thief is less likely to steel a stroller that have your name in clear sight.  (I also put them in our lunch coolers, bags, and anything else they’ll stick to lest they become lost.

  1. Do not store valuables you don't want to part with in your stroller while it is parked in one of the stroller "parking lots."  We typically leave our soft-sided cooler with our snacks in our stroller.  During our visit at the holidays we left my son's brand new Cars jacket in the stroller and someone stole it.  Very disappointing!  The same thing happened during our holiday visit a few years ago.  Steel from me once, shame on you.  Steel from me twice, shame on me.  I’ve learned my lesson!

  2. If you want to be able to spot your stroller fast, tie a balloon to your stroller's handle. Disneyland's balloons are pretty expensive, so consider buying a balloon the day before at a local party or grocery store.
