Babes in Disneyland: Great Places for Lunch

Great Places
for Lunch

When it co
mes to lunch time, most guests don't want to slow down. My first recommendation is to pack sandwiches so that you can eat on the go. If you are with a baby or young toddler, you might as well sit down and relax since you can eat and run anyway. Below are some restaurants I recommend for lunch.
  1. The two-story Hungry Bear Restaurant, located in Critter Country, is my top lunch pick. The lines can be long but go quickly. Most importantly, however, is the Hungry Bear's abundance of seating and pleasant scenery. Located just off of the Rivers of America, this restaurant gives diners the opportunity to watch the boats and canoes go by. Moreover, most seats are shaded. If you sit down below, you are close to the restrooms and the ducks. Your children will love feeding the ducks as they take in all of the river traffic. It is once of the most peaceful places in the park.

  1. The Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland is great for a fast, easy lunch and usually does not have long lines. At times, seating can be difficult, as it shares outdoor seating with the Riverbelle Terrace.

  2. Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante, also in Frontierland, is a great restaurant. It has flavorful food and large portions for sharing. The kids meal is big. (I order it for myself.) It has lots of seating in a very pretty setting.

If you do not like hot dogs, premade sandwiches, or mediocre pizza, steer clear of Mickey’s Toontown at lunch time. It is sorely deficient when it comes to decent food options!
