Babes in Disneyland: Great Places for Dinner

Great Places for Dinner

At the end of a long day, why not sit down with your family, enjoy a meal, and talk about your amazing day?  Disneyland provides a variety of restaurants for just about every taste and desire.  The evening ambiance at Disneyland is truly magical.  Carve out some special time during your visit to enjoy, reflect, and hear what your children have to say about the magic they have experienced.

Favorite spots for outdoor dining

Carnation Cafe on Main Street, U.S.A., the front porch of Plaza Inn and the River Belle Terrace (where I've heard that Walt Disney used to have breakfast on Sunday mornings) all offer wonderful outdoor dining.  The River Belle Terrace has amazing sandwiches served with delicious sides including fresh fruit, baked beans, and much more.  Cafe Orleans in New Orleans Square also offers great table service dining on the Rivers of America.  It is an especially great place to dine on evenings when Fantasmic! is shown.

Favorite spots for amazing atmosphere

The Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square, with twinkling lights and a magical ambience, is a tried and true favorite.  Although it is a bit on the pricey side, it is a wonderful choice for special occasions.  Another beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere is Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland.  Not only does it have beautiful covered and outdoor dining, but it features beautiful south-of-the-border-inspired decor.

Best place to grab a quick sandwich

If you are looking to grab a quick bite on the go for dinner, check out the Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street, U.S.A. or pick up a delicious hot corn dog from the Corn Dog Cart at the end of Main Street next to the Baby Center and Plaza Inn Restaurant.

Big Portions for Sharing

If you are looking to get the most out of your money with big meals for sharing, a few restaurants come to mind.  Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port (in Tomorrowland) is a favorite for many families with young children, as is the French Market in New Orleans Square and the Plaza Inn on Main Street.
