Get Packing

A day at Disneyland is not a day for the unprepared.  The more you have at the ready, the easier it will be.  Consider the lists below while packing your bags.

What to Bring for Your Beautiful Baby or Terrific Toddler

  1. Don't forget your child's favorite Disney costume!  I dress my kids in costumes all the time.  The cast members and characters love it and fuss over the kids every time!  They are only young once, so enjoy it!!!

  1. A baby carrier makes it much easier to get in and out of the attractions with your little one.  I am a fan of the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier Original.  I honestly couldn't do Disneyland with a baby without it.  It also makes boarding the parking trams a breeze.

  1. Portable changing pad or receiving blanket to change baby on.

  2. Diapers / Pull-ups

  3. Diaper ointment

  4. Wipes

  5. Changes of clothing for day and evening (it can get chilly in the evening during the summer and cold at night in the winter)

  6. A couple of wash cloths for wiping you child down in case of messes

  7. Baby food, extra spoons and/or snacks (and lunch if desired)

  8. Bottles/sippy cups

  9. Bottles of water/formula, juice boxes, etc.

  10. Sunscreen

  11. Hat

  12. Blankets to keep baby warm and to shade baby while in the stroller

  13. Jackets

  14. Bright ribbon or other easy identifier for your stroller (this can be helpful even if you are renting a stroller)

  15. Antibacterial.  I like the wipes like Wet Ones because you can wipe hands as well as food surfaces, changing tables, etc.

  16. Pajamas so that you can slip your kids straight into bed after the drive home.

  17. Toys for children who get bored waiting for entertainment, food, rides, etc. Bring small toys in your stroller you can use to entertain your children.  Make sure they are toys that you can replace (unlike the luvie your child sleeps with at night) and make sure to write your child's first and last name and phone number on the item so that if it is found Lost and Found can get it back to you.  If the toy is large enough, return address labels on anything you bring helps to ensure you get your lost possessions back

What to Bring for the Rest of the Family

  1. Patience!!!

  2. Water bottles, which can be refilled for free in the parks

  3. Sunscreen

  4. Snacks, juice, etc.

  5. Hats

  6. Clothing to keep warm in the evening

  7. Digital camera / video camera (if you are looking for a great video camera, my family loves Flip Mino Series Camcorder.  We take it everywhere because it’s small enough to fit in a pocket

  1. The Babes In Disneyland book!!!
