Return to the old west and enter Frontierland. You'll love walking through this rustic land with your children. Please note that this area is VERY congested on evenings when Fantasmic! is shown. On such days, be certain to visit Frontierland during the day.

Attractions Suitable for Toddlers and Young Children

Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island and the rafts to the island. (Babies are welcome, but it is not designed with babies in mind.)  The island is a great place to get away and let squirrely kids get energy out.  There’s plenty of space for kids to run.  There’s lots of quiet areas if you are looking for a spot to take a quiet break.  There are even picnic tables on the island if you are looking for a nice area to picnic with some sandwiches from home.  Click here to see my pix on Flikr.

Food

1. ★The Stage Door Cafe is great for a fast, easy lunch and usually does not have long lines.  (There’s more information on The Stage Door Cafe below in the “Entertainment” section.”)
   

2. ★Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante is a great restaurant. It has flavorful food and large portions for sharing. The kids meal is big. (I order it for myself.) The restaurant has lots of seating in a very pretty setting.  It is ideal on warm days, as most of the seating is outdoors.

Entertainment

Frontierland is a great place to find characters. They can often be found on Big Thunder Trail (the path that leads from Big Thunder Mountain, past Big Thunder Ranch, to Fantasyland.   Also in Frontierland, you can find the Billy Hill and the Hillbillies Show at the Golden Horse Shoe.  The Golden Horse Shoe is a beautiful theater and restaurant that serves ice cream sundaes.  Directly next door is the Stage Door Cafe, which serves chicken strips, fries, fish and chips, etc.  You are welcome to take your food and dine in the air conditioned/heated theater whether there’s a show going on or not.  Check Disneyland’s website for show times prior to your visit.
