About Me
About Me

While home on maternity leave with my second child, I got the crazy idea to start a website. I had left the field of public relations years ago to become a teacher and missed having an outlet for which to write. After a week of trying to figure out what I could write about, it hit me. I knew a lot about babies and a lot about Disneyland, so why not put them together? Babes in Disneyland was born and I feverishly typed away--even while nursing. (I am a serious multi-tasker!)
I’m an avid lover of all things Disney and Walt Disney’s original dreams and aspirations for Disneyland. I was a tour guide at Disneyland for five years during and after college and I’m now an annual passholder and mother of three. I love being able to share the happiness, wonder, and imagination of Disneyland with my children.
My website and blog together receive thousands of page views per month and both have a Google page rank of 3. Most of my readers (80%) are women between the ages of 25 and 44. 90% of my readers have children under 18 living in the home and most of which have children ages 8 and younger. Approximately 45% of my readers’ household income is $50K to $99 per year and approximately 34% of my readers make over $100K per year. My readership stretches around the world, but is mostly in North America with specific concentration in the western U.S. I have been featured in the Los Angeles Times and on The Orange County Register’s website. In 2009, I was named one of the best Los Angeles-area blogs by Nickelodeon’s Parents’ Connect.
Over at my personal blog, Queen of our Castle, I freely write about my personal life and thoughts about parenting, education, and surviving life as the only gal in a house full of testosterone.
